Confession: I've been a horrible friend and I'm so sorry that I have not been able to help during your husband's surgery.
I cannot tell you how many times my thoughts have turned to you and your lovely family or how often I've read your sweet email which said everything that I could not.
You are welcome to visit but I am unsure how I can work out leaving the goats, chickens, turkeys, and all to visit you. We have lots of beds here -- plenty for all of your children, you, and your husband (when he is well).

I'm so glad he is done with his surgery and he is home recovering. I pray he is not in too much pain!
